Parenting Moments

June 2022
Welcome to the month of June!
There are so many celebratory events this month - graduations, weddings, outdoor family gatherings. While we gather and celebrate, let’s remain aware that the number of COVID cases are once again increasing and protect ourselves and others. Refer to our resource section to find your free test and treatment center.

With the end of the school year in site, below you'll find camps and activities to keep kids engaged and learning. Don't forget to mark your calendar for Father’s Day and Juneteenth both on the 19th. We've provided ideas to help make the day special for the dad’s and father figures in our children’s lives. We also encourage you to observe Juneteenth by taking advantage of one of the many community events in your area.

Also, let's take time to remember the families who are suffering loss and pain due to the shootings in Buffalo, NY and Uvalde, TX. These shootings once again remind us of the work that needs to be done to create a safer society for ourselves and our children. Please see this month’s guide and articles about supporting children who have been exposed to violence.
