Odyssey of the Mind Team - needs your help!
St. Rose Odyssey of the Mind team is in need of a volunteer to work as a judge on their behalf at the regional tournament.

St. Rose Odyssey of the Mind team has been working on their long term problem since October in weekly practices after school and some Saturdays.

A Note from Mrs. Ryan
Dear Parents,

The teachers have been busy preparing their classrooms for Open House tomorrow night. This is your opportunity to visit the various classrooms and see projects and art work that our students have been doing in recent weeks. It's also a chance for you to see the work our students do to fulfill our Schoolwide Learning Expectations, or SLEs. These fifteen expectations form the core of the people we want our 8 th graders to be when they graduate from St. Rose. You will see the SLEs featured on posters throughout the school and in displays that show how each expectation lines up with our curriculum.

Many of you have not yet had the occasion to visit our beautiful newly rebuilt preschool since it reopened in November. Miss Claudia will have the preschool open tomorrow night if you'd like to visit with your children. This is especially poignant for families who began their St. Rose education at our preschool. We have added temporary lighting along the side walk to guide your steps.

If you have friends who are interested in sending their children to St. Rose please bring them along tomorrow night. I usually station myself by the front doors to the school and would love to meet them and schedule a tour during the school day so they can see our excellent teachers in action.

I am counting on every family to support our upcoming Crab Feed that is happening on February 9 th.   Selling raffle tickets allows you to support the event while giving your child a chance to win great prizes, such as becoming the school principal for a day or going on a nature hike with Mr. L.  Our event organizers need all parents to donate a favorite bottle of wine for the event. They are making this convenient for you by holding a second wine donation event during drop-off on Friday morning. Miss KC will send you a text message reminder. Of course you can also bring the wine directly to the school office. The proceeds from the Crab Feed augment the school budget which helps to keep everyone's tuition lower.

I look forward to seeing you tomorrow night.
