A Note from Mrs. Ryan
Dear Parents,

Each week the teachers send home packets of the work that was accomplished by your child during the previous week. These sets of corrected papers provide detailed information on what your child is learning and the degree of success he or she is having with the material. Progress reports will be sent home next week, marking the mid-way point for the first trimester. The purpose of these reports is to give you feedback on your child's learning. When considered along with the weekly packets, the progress report provides you with an accurate prediction of what the formal report card will look like. It is essential that you contact your child's teachers at your earliest convenience if you have questions or concerns about your child's progress.

For many of us, our Catholic school community extends to the Cardinal Newman community as well. It is wonderful that so many of our families attend night time sporting events to support the high school teams. Please be aware that the St. Rose campus is not equipped to handle children on our grounds at night as there is not adequate lighting and there is no supervision. We will be reminding all of our students that the St. Rose campus is off limits at night during CN sporting events. In addition, you should know that it is unwise to drop your child off at Cardinal Newman sporting events without parental supervision. There are just too many ways for them to get hurt or be tempted into behavior you do not condone.

TAKE ANOTHER LOOK
DISMISSAL Every Day
The Cardinal Newman HS and St. Rose Administrations would like to remind ALL our parents to please be respectful and mindful of the following at the end of each school day:

1.  St. Rose parents of 1st-8th grade students should not be lined up in the lot or parked in the traffic circle before 2:45PM. The only cars that should be in the  traffic circle at 2:20pm are Kindergarten parents picking up at 2:30pm.
2. St. Rose parents should not be lined up in the parking lot until after 2:40PM, after SR Kindergarten & CN dismissal. It is best for those picking up 1st-8th grade students to NOT arrive on campus until after 2:45pm.
3 . St. Rose parents should not impede the flow of traffic between 2:15 - 2:45pm
4. NO ONE should ever block someone from exiting a parking space. You MUST leave your place in line to allow a parked car to exit.
5. At the end of every SR school day, some of our brave faculty and staff are out there to ensure the safety of all our students. Please be kind to them if they ask you to stop your car, wait, or move.

PLEASE, share this with ALL those adults in your family who come onto our busy campus to pick up your child(ren).  A gentle reminder to ALL, that this is a busy SCHOOL campus, where the speed limit is SLOW, patience needs to be practiced, and the safety of ALL students, Preschool - 12th grade is our #1 priority.
Let's be KIND & SAFE out there!
Thank You for your cooperation.
