Halloween - Wednesday, Oct. 31st
Minimum Day - 12:30 pm Dismissal

Parade of Costumes and Trunk or Treat event.

Check back here next week for more details!
A Note from Mrs. Ryan
Dear Parents,

Although there is no requirement to wear costumes to school on October 31 st , the majority of our students choose to do so. Student Council organizes a costume parade and our room parents are providing a Trunk or Treat event and a dance party in the gym for all of our students. Please follow the costume guidelines in this newsletter. I would like to highlight a few areas.

For obvious reasons we do not allow pretend weapons of any kind. In addition, we have always restricted particularly scary or gory costumes. Our older students who might prefer this kind of costume understand the importance of this provision since we have younger, impressionable children to protect.  Sometimes clown costumes can be problematic because of the scary-clown fears and hoaxes that have been reported by news media.  If you have already planned a sweet, happy little clown costume for a younger child, no worries. Please avoid  masks and make-up that may look frightening, creepy, or menacing in any way. Thanks so much for your cooperation that will help our students of all ages have a happy Halloween event at school.

TAKE ANOTHER LOOK
DISMISSAL Every Day
The Cardinal Newman HS and St. Rose Administrations would like to remind ALL our parents to please be respectful and mindful of the following at the end of each school day:

1.  St. Rose parents of 1st-8th grade students should not be lined up in the lot or parked in the traffic circle before 2:45PM. The only cars that should be in the  traffic circle at 2:20pm are Kindergarten parents picking up at 2:30pm.
2. St. Rose parents should not be lined up in the parking lot until after 2:40PM, after SR Kindergarten & CN dismissal. It is best for those picking up 1st-8th grade students to NOT arrive on campus until after 2:45pm.
3 . St. Rose parents should not impede the flow of traffic between 2:15 - 2:45pm
4. NO ONE should ever block someone from exiting a parking space. You MUST leave your place in line to allow a parked car to exit.
5. At the end of every SR school day, some of our brave faculty and staff are out there to ensure the safety of all our students. Please be kind to them if they ask you to stop your car, wait, or move.

PLEASE, share this with ALL those adults in your family who come onto our busy campus to pick up your child(ren).  A gentle reminder to ALL, that this is a busy SCHOOL campus, where the speed limit is SLOW, patience needs to be practiced, and the safety of ALL students, Preschool - 12th grade is our #1 priority.
Let's be KIND & SAFE out there!
Thank You for your cooperation.
