“Nah, no thanks,” increasing numbers of young people are saying.


More than 100,000 candidates sat for the CPA exam in 2016, according to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In 2022, fewer than 67,000 did.

DEMEC UNVEILS LINEWORKER TRAINING YARD


On Tuesday, the Delaware Municipal Electric Corporation celebrated the groundbreaking of their Joint Lineworker Training Yard, which is designed to support workforce development and safety training for apprentice and journeyman lineworkers for DEMEC’s municipal member utilities.

 

DEMEC’s training yard will be the only of one its kind in the state of Delaware, offering local, certified training for new and seasoned lineworkers.
