Covenant Renewal in Worship

Happy New Year! Each new year comes with promises and expectations - especially around goals. We make goals for ourselves to improve in various areas, or to lose weight, or to save more money. Sometimes those goals include wanting to be more attuned to our faith through regular devotional times, scripture reading, and prayer. The new year is a natural time to make such goals.

Undergirding all we do is our faith. The Holy Spirit empowers us, with Jesus Christ as our firm foundation. That's why it makes sense that we, as a church, embark on this new year with the Covenant Renewal Service. This service is a chance to commit afresh and anew to our relationship with God; to get the year started off right. During our service, we will walk through the liturgy together, making our commitment. Then, as a sign of our reaffirmation of faith, we will have the opportunity to be anointed with water from the font as we remember our baptisms and to receive a wallet-sized card of the Covenant Prayer, a reminder in our bibles or wallets of the commitment we made this day.

We hope you'll make plans to be in worship on Sunday, January 7 at 11 AM for this special time of worship!

Together we are sharing the heart of God...

On February 29, 2024, Creede Hinshaw will once again represent Mulberry at the DePaul/Daybreak Sleepout. The sleepout is held outdoors in the winter to remind us of those with no choice in housing. This is the big fundraiser for Daybreak - all donations are used locally!

You can support Creede & Daybreak at this link, by sending a check to Daybreak, or by giving a check to Creede. Thank you Creede for putting your caring spirit ahead of your comfort!
