A Message from the Hero Hotline Headquarters!

Hello, Heroes! I’m Professor S, and I am the leader of the Hero Hotline Headquarters! At Hero Hotline, we answer the call to serve God!

I wanted to make a special invitation for you to join us at VBS!! This year, we are going to learn about how we can work together as heroes to join God in helping others. We are going to have some awesome activities as a part of your hero training. There will be music, science experiments, fun crafts, recreation, and memorable Bible stories that will teach us how to serve those that need our help. Our main verse for this summer is Romans 14:19, which says, “So let’s strive for the things that bring peace and the things that build each other up.”

We hope you’ll plan to join us for Hero Hotline! It runs from June 19-23 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Mulberry Street UMC. And if any adults are reading this special message, we are happy to have your help training our heroes; call the church office if you are interested in volunteering!

Oh, one more thing! The Big Boss is sending a very special hero to join us this week! I’ve heard that his special powers include burrowing underground and something about leaping over termite hill…I wonder who he is!

I hope to see you at VBS next week! Professor S, signing off!

Together we are sharing the heart of God...

Send some mail to our campers!

It’s been a great tradition at Mulberry for church members to send cards and letters to our youth at Epworth during summer camp, and my kids always tell me how blessed they feel to receive so much mail while there. I hope you’ll consider sending notes, jokes, and letters of encouragement again this year to these students who are registered for Camp Connect:

Ella Magda – High School Camp – week of June 12-16

Emerson Toles – High School Camp – week of June 12-16

Will Magda – Middle School Camp #1 – week of June 19-23

Jackson Goshorn – Middle School Camp #2 – week of June 26-30

Sadly, this will be Ella and Emerson’s last year as campers before they graduate from high school next year.

The address is below; bear in mind the SSI mail goes to Jacksonville first, so please build in extra time for your letter to get there:

Children's Center at Mulberry Fundraiser

The Children's Center at Mulberry has begun a fundraising campaign to advance the mission of the Center. The $50,000 campaign will run through Father's Day. Your gifts will help enable the Center to provide educational programs, resources, and the highest quality learning environment for students and families, as well as support staff development and capital improvements.

You can give online through our online giving portal or by check, marked for the Children's Center at Mulberry fund.

We still need VBS Volunteers! We are still looking for passionate, excited volunteers for our Hero Hotline VBS this June! There are still spots available to be a crew leader, a decorator, and more!
