Sunday School is this Week!



In September we are focusing on a Bible story from the Gospel of Matthew. In Matthew 20, Jesus tells his followers a parable about workers in the field. We will explore this story and learn about God's generosity and how we can be generous, too!

We will read The Cathedral Cat by Ellen Clark-King. This book tells the story of a cat-- a feral, not-very-friendly cat-- who lived by herself outside for a long time. One day when it became rainy and wet, she needed to find a home to sleep in. She found Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, and through the generosity of the community, she learned to be a friendly cat and found a forever (furrever!) home.

Then we will make generosity flowers and share communion together!

KNO is this Friday, September 18!

Kids' Night out is a fun night for kiddos at Peace! We gather from 6 - 8 p.m. on the third Friday of the month to make personal pizzas, play games, do a craft, and read a story together.

It's also a great opportunity for parents to go on a date or take a break!

This week, we'll play generosity relay, make generosity jars, and read A Chair for My Mother. We'll also make pizza and be silly!

Office Hours!

Monday through Friday, from 9 am - 2 pm staff are in the office, attending to the business of our church: monitoring e-mail, answering telephones and/or responding to messages, working on the dozens of different projects and connections that keep our ministry moving forward.

Pastor Dave works from the church office, Monday through Thursday, and most weeks will have office hours on Saturday too, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday is his day off. In case of emergency, the pastor is available by cell phone, 773-255-8095.
