Vinyl Records: A Most Improbable Comeback
Have you kept or discarded your old record albums? You may be surprised to learn that today vinyl is the number-one-selling physical medium for music. Even during a pandemic, double-digit sales growth at record stores for vinyl held steady. Larry Jaffee, music enthusiast, journalist, and author of Record Store Day: The Most Improbable Comeback of the 21st Century, details the support of the medium by celebrities and music executives and the popularity of the analog form of sound in this article written exclusively for Coming of Age.
BREAKING NEWS: Happening soon — Coming of Age's first in-person event since the pandemic lockdown — on Wednesday, May 25, 7:00-8:00 p.m., in Manhattan, New York City — meet author Larry Jaffee, who will present Vinyl: The Most Improbable Comeback, an interactive one-hour discussion on the vinyl trend and insider information he gathered when interviewing record industry executives and famous musicians who support this medium. Registration is open!

Cryptocurrency Webinar ICYMI
Our recent webinar, Introduction to Cryptocurrency, featuring "Doc" Severson, who runs ReadySetCrypto, took the mystery out of this possible class of investments. Older adults often receive advice to move from risky investments such as stocks to safer investments such as bonds. Yet, with inflation and other pressures, many of us are asking about crypto. This article from Quartz explores the definitions, the ins and outs, and removes the mystery. In case you missed it (ICYMI), watch this video recording of the webinar.

Through her work, Gendron has inspired people of all ages to embrace aging as our universal and lifelong process of developing over time — biologically, psychologically, socially, and spiritually.
