Join us for a free annual recital in recognition of Kids Music Day, with performances by several talented young Music School students,  Friday, Oct. 5, 7:00pm, i n the Recital Hall, 23 Wall Street in Concord.  And -- if you couldn't make our wonderful Avaloch Farm Music Institute soiree last weekend, here's a second chance to get a taste of Avaloch, with a special guest appearance & interactive presentation by ensemble in residence "kla" (that's them, above right!). Fall Fiddle Fest Returns!

The 2018 Fall Fiddle Festival will bring together three fiddle players: stellar jazz violinist Jason Anick, whose credits include performances with Stevie Wonder, Delta Rae, and Girls, Guns, and Glory; Scottish fiddling phenom Katie McNally, who has been hailed as "the new face of Scottish fiddling" by The Living Tradition Magazine; and Concord's own Irish and New England contra dance musician Liz Faiella, chair of the Folk, Jazz, and Popular Music Department at the Concord Community Music School.

Fiddle players of various levels and styles are invited to participate in a range of workshop offerings and jam sessions for a full day on Saturday. Workshops will be offered for beginner, intermediate, and advanced players during each workshop session. Beginner workshops are geared towards musicians who have a basic knowledge of their instrument.

All are welcome to the rousing Fiddle Festival Concert at 7:30pm on the 13th.  Featuring Jason Anick, Katie McNally, and Liz Faiella on the fiddle, alongside their musical collaborators, the Fiddle Festival's evening concert will journey through jazz, Scottish, and Irish fiddling traditions.

It's not too late to register for lessons, classes, and ensembles! Students of every age and ability are welcomed to register for the Concord Community Music School's fall semester Offerings include private lessons and ensembles, as well as early childhood programs, music therapy programs, and choruses.
