Reading Finale for Kids, Teens, & Families on August 10th (11AM-1PM) at Bowman Library

Don't miss out! The celebration features the Teen Puppet Troupe, the Tri-State Division of the Eastern Panhandle Ghostbusters who are displaying their ghostbusting vehicles and equipment, a giant marshmallow man and slime monster, a book reading of I Ain’t Gonna Paint No More, and more surprises.
The Adult Summer Reading Program is Still Going Strong!

For adults, we still have an amazing mix of programs, an outdoor movie, and a special reading program packed with awards adults will love.

There's still time to register, get reading, and register to win some amazing prizes just for adults.

All of our programs are free and open the public. Registration may be required for supplies and other accommodations. Some summer programs happen at multiple branches. Click on each link to view more information, times, and location.
Outdoor Movie for Adults - Stand by Me

Date : August 16
Time : 8:30PM
Location : Bowman Library
Rated: R for 18+

After the death of one of his friends, a writer recounts a boyhood journey with his friends to find the body of a missing boy. Food will be for sale provided by a local food truck or restaurant. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. Feel free to bring a picnic to snack on during the movie.

Did You Know We Offer Print, Copy, Scan, & Fax Services?
Printing is available from library computers in black and white for 15¢ per page or color for 25¢ per page. Black and white photocopy machines are available at 15¢ per copy. Ask the Information Desk for more details. Click here to read more about our copy, print, scan, and fax services.

Books, Bingo, and Beer await you at the Grand Finale for our 2019 Adult Summer Reading Program, It’s Showtime at Your Library! You don't need to be participants of the Summer Reading Program to attend. Have a fun night, see what's next for adults, and celebrate reading all in one night.

Books
The library will be open and patrons will be able to check out materials.

Beer
We will be joined by The Better Beer Store who will provide beer tastings featuring local breweries. Attendees must be 21 and over to participate in the beer tastings .
Bingo
Participants must be 18 or over to participate in Bingo Games. Each game will include prizes including Book Bucks, library swag, movie tickets and more. The last game will be our “Black Out” game where you will have the chance to win a $100 Visa Gift Card!

DJ Repeatable will be on site with his Photo Booth Services to enjoy throughout the evening. We will also have board games and digital games on our new touchscreen TV for people to enjoy.

During the event, prize winners for the Adult Summer Reading Program will be announced and presented with their prizes.
