For those of you in the Pasco Washington area, T Kurtz and I will be part of the Custer's Arts and Crafts Show at the TRAC , Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 16, 17, 18th...THIS WEEKEND You don't want to miss this delightful event. Welcome to Spring.

At least it is in Pasco. We will be leaving North Idaho with a promise it will eventually arrive, some of the chickadees are calling "cheeseburger" their first sign of finding nesting territories. I'm putting all the shed pony hair out where the birds can find it for their nests, she has enough to cover all the birds' needs this season.

Our snow is melting, slowly but definitely disappearing bit by bit. Which means that the mud season is starting, I may have the dirtiest van in the TRAC parking lot. You can always tell at Safeway just who lives rural and who lives on paved roads. Oh, you can get into town early while the county roads are still frozen, but they will get you on the way back home. We won't even mention just what the dogs are tracking in across the kitchen floor.

The further I can walk out into the pastures the more trees I find broken over by the heavy snows of winter. Firewood is not going to be a problem this year. Mending the fences however, will be. Oh well, it could be worse. We did get the big trees down before they fell on the buildings, but it was close. I must admit I am looking forward to greenup.

My two new pieces, BORN TO WIN and ACE THE FELL PONY are at the foundry. If you were thinking about ordering at the special precast price, you still have a couple of weeks to contact me before casting is completed. Just let me know.

I did learn that the Fell pony was one of the breeds that went into the development of the Gypsy Vanner. ACE would make a lovely Gypsy Vanner with the paint patina, one of these days I plan on doing it, or you could order yours that way. Give me a call if you would like to talk about it.
