BARE presented by the Hilo Community Players 9/13

As they struggle to come to terms with who they are, and who the world thinks they should be, they seek answers from their church, their friends, and ultimately, from within themselves. As their final year of high school draws to a close, they attempt to navigate the complex road from adolescence to adulthood and deal with the consequences of their choices as they prepare to take the next step in their lives.

Bare's popularity and power stems from its honesty. It resonates with audiences as it provides truthful accounts of the common complexities that young people face. The show inspires, by showcasing the ability to break past the institutions of religion, education and family, that can sometimes force us to conform and hide behind a mask, rather than live a fulfilled life.

The production contains mature language and themes and is not recommended for young children. Parental discretion is advised.

Bare book by Jon Hartmere and Damon Intrabartolo. Music by Damon Intrabartolo. Lyrics by Jon Hartmere.
Tickets: $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Available on-line at www.HiloPlayers.org

Authentic Relating Games

9/20 5pm-8pm

Be the Authentic You!
Come and connect with others in a fun, safe, playful environment ☺️

What is this!? What are Authentic Relating Games?

Authenticity is acting and speaking in alignment with our inner feelings, desires, and needs-our truth. Authentic Relating (AR) is the practice of bringing our truth into connection with others', so that we can weave a more rich human experience.

Authentic Relating Games are an easy and fun way to introduce AR into daily life. They can help us experience deeper connections, boost empathy, see the world through others' eyes, and understand ourselves better so that we can enjoy life more. The games are fun, highly interactive partner and group exercises that demonstrate and explore AR, and getting to know yourself better while at the same time learning to see and appreciate more about everyone you connect with. These games are NOT board games like 'Chutes & Ladders' or 'Checkers' (they're better ).

Join us for a FUN night of connection! Be the Authentic YOU!
We are limited on how many participants we can comfortably have so please RSVP if you are planning to attend.
Please wear comfortable clothing.
Please plan to arrive early to park and check in.
We like to create a closed container so doors will close promptly at 5:00
