Parenting Through Community Trauma: Watch the Recording

"Be honest with your children. Tell them your worries. Tell them the truth. Tell them everything in an age appropriate way."

Michelle Magida, LCPC

Founder, Therapy Etc.

Following the shooting in Highland Park, we know many people may be struggling as they send their kids back to school.

During our first Lunch and Learn of the season, Michelle Magida, LCPC, talked about a variety of issues including:

  • how to talk to your kids about trauma
  • setting realistic expectations given the current situation
  • what to do about a child who is having trouble sleeping

Watch the recording of her presentation and check out some simple Dos and Donts from Michelle.

CATCH Lunch & Learn programs are supported by a generous grant from the Northbrook Woman's Club.
