7 Wonders

This is a great game that relies on a mix of strategy and luck, and hits the sweet-spot in how long it can take to play / finish a game. It's great for a casual night with friends, or getting to know your coworkers on a lunch break.

Betrayal at House on the Hill

Betrayal at House on the Hill is team-based haunted house exploration game with a huge amount of replay value, as each game changes based on a dramatic (and random) betrayal by one of the players. It also plays on a ton of fun horror tropes, so any fans of the genre will definitely enjoy it.

Recommended by Kayla, Generalist Librarian

Codenames

Codenames is a two-team deduction card game where two Code Masters try to give hints as to spies' locations on the displayed word cards. Think of a collaborative, wordy version of Battleship!

Recommended by Alyssa, Reference Librarian

Telestrations

Telestrations takes Telephone to a whole new level, alternating between a written sentence and an artistic interpretation of that sentence where you might end up VERY far from where you started. A great icebreaker, this is a great game to play with a crowd.

Sushi Go!

Sushi Go is one of Karen's favorite fast casual games. After playing a card, your hand is passed to the player next to and you get a new hand to review, so all players stay engaged throughout. And the smiling sushi are adorable!

Villainous

Carrie recommends Villainous for its immersive storytelling, and its use of classic villainous characters. It is user friendly, with clear instructions, and is a great game for either family night or for a fun evening with friends.
