School Board Commissioner Althea Greene and the E- Club Alumni come to the rescue!

In partnership, they worked together to secure the funding to have our gym painted. Without the support of our Alumni, this would not have been possible. If you are an alum, please join the E Club! The BEST High School Counselors EVER! Mr. Hewitt and Ms. Pirtle are poised to assist you with your son/daughter's counseling needs. Please do not hesitate to contact them! They love what they do and when you meet them, you will agree.

Main Office Staff Do you know our office staff? Ms. Osborne is in the main building. Her smile is infectious and her energy is unstoppable. Ms. Diggs is new to our team and once she is trained, she will be working out of the main office in the Annex. She is organized and happy to be on TEAM East! Have a question? Where is Ms. Holliday? Miss seeing Ms. Holliday? So does Ms. Mohammed. Ms. Holliday is our Financial Secretary. She is well-deserving of this promotion and is still a smile and a hug away!

Mustangs are CHANGE AGENTS in our City!

Shelby County Schools Department of Student Affairs will hold its Student Congress retreat. Our representatives are Matthew Stroud and De'Charius Brooks . Let's go Mustangs! The Student Congress is a mechanism for increasing youth voice in Shelby County Schools. The primary function is to provide a platform for students to refine and build upon their leadership skills, create passionate global leaders, and empower students to create positive change in their environments.

As members on this council, Tyler and Tyti represent youth interests in the City of Memphis government. They serve on the advisory board to the Mayor and the Memphis City Council. Tytianna has been elected as the Co-President of the Council by her peers on the Council.

2019 Girls in Aviation Day It is time for the Annual Girls In Aviation Day sponsored by Women in Aviation Memphis Belles Chapter and the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals. Students must be between 10-18 years old. Applications maybe returned as a group/organization or it can be sent by individual.  For event inquiries or other registration questions, please contact Ina Wiehl iswiehl@fedex.com.   If your daughter is interested, please have them see Mr. Booker or email him at bookerrk@scsk12.org
