- Edward B. Healton, MD, MPH, executive vice president for health sciences and executive dean of the School of Medicine

At the School of Nursing & Health Studies commencement, Luci Baines Johnson (H'18) encouraged graduates to dream, serve and lead "a purpose-driven life."
Stephen Ray Mitchell, MD, MBA, praised the Class of 2018 at the commencement ceremony, calling them "a remarkable group of men and women who leave this school better than they found it."

Preparing for careers in medicine, academia, business and more, the newest Biomedical Graduate Education alumni expressed gratitude for faculty and staff who "believed in each and every one of us."

The School of Medicine Class of 2018 chose Aaron Epstein (G'12, M'18) as the student speaker for the ceremony, which celebrates student accomplishments in research, academics, service and leadership.

Representing the Army, Navy and Air Force, 12 School of Medicine students took their oaths and received promotions in a commissioning ceremony held on Armed Forces Day.

In addition to inducting the newest members of the MAGIS Society of Master Teachers, the awards ceremony recognized award-winning faculty and those who have recently retired.

Celebrating excellence in pre-clinical and clinical medical education, the MAGIS Society welcomed two new inductees - Jacqueline Jonklaas, MD, PhD, and Cirrelda Cooper, MD.
