We are thrilled to invite you to the 2023 Commencement of Mission College, which will be held on Friday, May 26, at 6 p.m. at the Santa Clara Convention Center, 5001 Great America Pkwy., Santa Clara, 95054. The theme for this year's Commencement is "Lighting Your Future." All student participants are asked to arrive at the Convention Center by 4:30 p.m.

Please read this letter thoroughly as it contains key information about the event and what you need to do before and during the ceremony.

Commencement Rehearsal

It is mandatory for all graduation participants to attend a Commencement

rehearsal to familiarize themselves with procedures and etiquette for the ceremony. The rehearsal will be held on Thursday, May 25, at 4 p.m. at the Santa Clara Convention Center. It will last two hours.

Photos

Mission College has contracted with WASIO Photography to take a photo of each student participant as they receive their degree or certificate. Additional information on this process will be shared at galleries.photoday.io/gallery/mission-grad-2023.

You can also text MISSION2023 to 90738 to receive a notification right away when your photos are available.

Regalia, such as caps, gowns, and tassels, can be purchased from Mission’s Bookstore up until the day of the ceremony. All students participating in the Commencement ceremony must wear the regalia of a black cap and black gown. Degree candidates are asked to also wear a Commencement tassel.

Also, we have free LGBTQIA Pride stoles for anyone wishing to show their pride during Commencement. Stop by the Student Engagement Center (SEC) Room, 331 or email

mc.instruction@missioncollege.edu to express your interest and provide your contact information. Stoles will be available until Wednesday, May 24, for pick up.
