Dear Members of the Class of 2020 and 2021,

I am so excited Suffolk University will be holding your commencement ceremonies at Fenway Park on May 22 (Class of 2021) and May 23 (Class of 2020). Please see President Kelly’s announcement HERE.

As I write this email, commencement is just 56 days away and there is much to accomplish in that brief time period. We are working to update the commencement website to provide you with important details about graduation. Because time is of the essence, we ask that you respond quickly when asked to provide information and that you check the commencement website frequently for updates.

April 1, 2021 is an important deadline. By April 1, you must go to the commencement website to:

  • RSVP your attendance at commencement. Although Fenway Park normally holds tens of thousands of visitors, seating for commencement has been significantly reduced due to capacity limitations and social distancing. We need to know if you will be attending the commencement ceremony or not so we can, among other things, provide you with 3 tickets for your commencement guests.
  • Reserve your commencement regalia (cap, gown and hood). If you are a CAS doctoral student, the CAS Dean’s Office will order your regalia for you. You may arrange to have your regalia sent to the Suffolk Bookstore for easy pickup or you may have your regalia mailed to your home.
  • Update your mailing address. We need to know the address for where we should send any pre and post commencement mailings via “snail mail.”
  • Apply for commencement singer and speaker (optional).

The Suffolk University Commencement Committee thanks you in advance for your attention to these instructions and your cooperation as we finalize plans for a meaningful and memorable commencement celebration for you and your family/guests.

Congratulations.

Ann E. Coyne
Vice President for Student Affairs & Dean of Students
