 Sutrak Announces Another Commerce City Expansion
Sutrak, a leading manufacturer of HVAC systems for bus, light rail, and automated people movers in North America, plans to build two new warehouse buildings on land adjacent to its current facility at 6897 E. 49th Avenue. The 20,500- and 24,500-square-foot warehouse buildings will store component parts used in the assembly process as well as finished products prior to shipping. Sutrak has operated in Colorado since 1980. The company moved the majority of its operations to Commerce City in 2004 with the completion of an 18,000-square-footwarehouse facility. The expansion adds two employees to the company's existing 29.

Opportunities Available on City's Boards and Commissions
If you are looking for an opportunity to get involved on a board or commission now is your chance. There are several openings, including two on the Planning Commission. If you are interested in land use planning, architecture and  facilitating good development standards, you might be an ideal candidate to serve on the Planning Commission. The Commerce City Planning Commission is a decision making body appointed by City Council to gather citizen input and make recommendations to the council on development related cases and policies. Openings are also available on the Cultural Council, Capital Improvement Projects Citizen Advisory Committee, Derby Review Board, and Quality Community Foundation.
