The Town of Matthews is beginning the process of developing a new Comprehensive Plan to establish a long-term vision for Matthews. To kick off the Envision Matthews Comprehensive Plan, the Town is seeking your thoughts and ideas.

The starting point for the Envision Matthews Comprehensive Plan is the 2023-2028 Strategic Plan. Included in the Strategic Plan are 12 Vision Statements that serve as the Town’s key focus areas. With these in mind, we are asking for your input on how these relate to the Comprehensive Plan.

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey below. There will be many opportunities for public input throughout this process. This is just the first step.

Happy March Chamber Members,

I can’t believe that we can see Spring on the horizon, and that we just wrapped up another month in 2023! The Matthews Chamber has been busy, and the days are flying by! We are so excited to Welcome 6 New Members to the Mathews Chamber of Commerce for the month of February, so make sure to check out their businesses highlighted below.

We are also welcoming new board member, Carmen Smith from Novant Matthews Medical Center.

Last month, the Matthews Chamber met with our regional partners including the Charlotte Business Alliance and our neighboring Chamber Executives as we discussed our Legislative Agendas and how we can partner together to make a bigger impact. I participated in an Envision Matthews interview to help shape the comprehensive plan for Matthews. I invite you to click the survey link in the article above to let your voice be heard.

The Matthews Chamber is proud to have signed a Letter of Support for Medicaid Expansion with our partners and to speak on behalf of the Pappas Properties, Sante’ Matthews project at the February 13^th Matthews Commissioners Meeting.

March will be full of events that I hope you can attend. There are so many opportunities to engage with your members and your community. We’re happy to help you find the best opportunities to share your business with the Chamber!
