As I see 2023 in the horizon, I can’t help but take a look back at all we have accomplished here at the Matthews Chamber of Commerce over the last year. While we have all continued to face challenges with inflation, the great resignation, our own and our employees’ health, and supply chain (just to name a few!), I am so proud to look around at Matthews and see businesses who have persevered and thrived in 2022. We should all take a moment to be proud of our personal and professional accomplishments this year.
The Matthews Chamber is ecstatic to have welcomed 50 new members to our Chamber in 2022! We brought back New Member Orientations and are excited to get our new folks plugged in and connected to those of you who have been with us for a while.
We had 11 IN PERSON luncheons, with over 600 attendees, and offered 5 community events to get your businesses in front of your potential customers and clients.
Our Women in Business program continued to grow, and we are excited to continue our mission of supporting our Women owned/operated businesses here in Matthews.
We also sent over 33,000 communications via constant contact and had over 27,000 new visitors to our website this year! And talking about visitors, just this last week we welcomed guests from all over the world including China, South Africa, and even Matthews residents who are discovering the Visitor’s Center for the very first time.
The Town of Matthews is truly a magical place, and we are so thankful to be here serving as your Chamber of Commerce. On behalf of the Chamber staff, we’d like to thank the 2022 Board of Directors, Ambassadors, Committee Members, Town of Matthews Staff and our regional partners for making this year unforgettable.
Chamber Members, it’s time to get excited for more opportunities to connect with each other, the community and create new partnerships for continued success in 2023!
Happy New Year!
