Keep an eye on your inbox. Today you will receive an email from Director Maxfield with a link to take the Employee Opinion Survey. Though the survey is voluntary, everyone is encouraged to take it. Every employee’s opinion matters, whether you’ve been here a few weeks or several decades. All responses will be anonymous.

BUSTR Bureau Chief Swearing-In Ceremony

Commerce Director Sherry Maxfield and State Fire Marshal Kevin Reardon were on hand for the swearing-in ceremony for new BUSTR Bureau Chief Scott King. King took his Oath of Office to “support the constitution of the United States and Ohio and to faithfully discharge his duties.”  

King brings 30 years of experience in Public Safety including Emergency Management, Fire, Investigations, Environmental Response, Safety, and EMS fields. He replaces recently retired bureau chief Steven Krichbaum.

Dial 988: New Mental Health Crisis Hotline Launched Saturday 

This past weekend, starting on July 16, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline was changed from an 11-digit number to 988, in an effort to make it easier for people to access help in a moment of crisis.

The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available for anyone in the United States who is experiencing emotional distress or suicidal thoughts and can be contacted via a phone call or online chat.
