Buddy Mohmed was born in East Chicago IN to Lebanese immigrants. He graduated from Sunset H.S. in Oak Cliff and attended music school at Dallas Community Colleges (including CVC) and UTA & UNT.
Buddy has shared his talents as a bassist and guitarist with some of the great musicians of our time including: Cedar Walton; Billy Preston; David ‘Fathead’ Newman; Phyllis Hyman; Charles Tolliver; John Hicks; Duke Ellington Orchestra; Kenny Wheeler; Celtic Stone; Creative Opportunity Orchestra; Cirque du Soleil (Corteo ~ creation/ tour/video)
Buddy has also performed with many theater productions as musician, bandleader, music director, and composer, in North Texas and around the U.S.
Mr. Mohmed has continued to perform in North Texas and around the Country as a solo artist and as a sideman and bandleader.
