I am writing to encourage you to join members of HRACRE, and our commercial development colleagues from Richmond and Northern Virginia, as we participate in Commercial Real Estate Development Day at the Virginia General Assembly on Wednesday, January 29, 2020.
This annual event presents a great opportunity for you to meet with your representatives in the Virginia General Assembly and to assist in our efforts to achieve our 2020 legislative priorities.
The day begins at 8:45 AM in Richmond when we will meet at the offices of our Virginia Association for Commercial Real Estate lobbyist, Phil Abraham. His office at 707 East Main Street, Suite 1800 in Richmond is only two blocks from the General Assembly Building. We will be briefed on the day’s events, the major issues we will be discussing with legislators and answer any questions you might have in anticipation of your legislative meetings. We will then leave Phil’s office and walk to the General Assembly Building at about 9:15 AM to begin our meetings.
We will work to schedule an appointment for each participant to meet with their Delegate and Senator during the morning of January 29. All meetings will conclude by 11:30 AM so you can return to Hampton Roads in the afternoon. We will provide you with handouts for your legislators on our 2020 legislative priorities as well as talking points that will educate you and provide detail on those priorities.

so we can confirm the Delegate and Senator who represents you and schedule a meeting with them subject to their availability.
We encourage you to participate in this event which always proves to be a great chance to meet your legislators, help achieve our legislative goals and to network with your colleagues in the commercial real estate development industry.
