Guest Writer - Introducing Eagle Commercial Realty
In less than a year, Eagle Commercial Realty (ECR) has made an enormous impact in Central Virginia's commercial real estate market.
The recession hit the commercial industry hard in 2008 & 2009 causing thousands of previously occupied square feet to go vacant. Since then, Richmond has been fortunate enough to see a steady increase in commercial deal flow, and the next 12 months looks just as promising. Capital One, General Electric and SnagAJob have recently announced plans to move/increase space in Innsbrook and over the past year, the market is slowly morphing from a tenant's market to a landlord's market. Innsbrook is not the only development noticing an increase in leased space. The Short Pump area has seen a strong growth of retail interest, particularly in Short Pump Town Center, The Corner at Short Pump and West Broad Village.
ECR is responsible for all commercial leasing at West Broad Village. As a partner in the Eagle Companies' flagship community, it was the first big project for our new Commercial Realty division. Since its inception, ECR is responsible for bringing the following tenants to Richmond's premier mixed-use development: LaDifference International Furnishings, Keagan's Irish Pub, Halligan Bar and Grill, Bonefish Grill, ACAC Fitness Club, Sweet Spot, Eagle Construction's Home Gallery, The French Boutique, Parrot Jewelry and Boutique, and 3 Sports.
As a branch of the Eagle Companies, Eagle Commercial Realty compliments the other entities with a keen specialty in tenant/buyer representation, while still remaining very active in property management and landlord representation. ECR is strategically positioned in the market because of our experience in the Richmond market and relationship with Eagle Construction as well as various financial firms. ECR is currently listing the following premier properties: the former CNB Bank in downtown Richmond, the former FFV Interbake Foods building near the Diamond, the King Carter Golf Course in Irvington, and various retail centers throughout central Virginia. This past year has been one of strong development and expansion for ECR and we look forward to another successful year with the Eagle Companies.
