We’ll reimburse up to $200 of your 2025 local dues for a referral that results in a new commercial sponsorship.

Installation of Officers and Directors

Join us Feb 27, 2025, for the 2025 Installation of the Officers and Directors, including 2025 President Gary Parker, CCIM, SIOR, newly elected directors Mel Desemone and Dennis Hayden, and presidential appointees Brendan O’Brien and Megan Donovan.

This multi-organization networking event, which includes the local chapters of SIOR, CREW, IREM, and CCIM, will be from 5 to 7 p.m., with a program recognizing 2025 leaders from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be provided. Attendance is free for commercial division members and $70 for non-members and guests.

Capitol Update: Section 8 Vouchers; Capital Gains Tax Deduction

The House Commerce Committee conducted hearings Wednesday on several bills supported by Missouri REALTORS^®, dealing with landlord protections and capital gains taxes.

House Bill 343 and HB595 prohibit local governments from requiring landlords to accept Section 8 vouchers. HB595 is sponsored by Rep. Chris Brown, R-Kansas City, and HB343 is sponsored by Rep. Ben Keathley, R-Chesterfield.

HB508 and HB594, dealing with an income tax deduction for capital gains, also received House Commerce Committee hearings on Wednesday. HB508 is sponsored by Rep. George Hruza, R-St. Louis County, and HB594 is sponsored by Rep. Chad Perkins, R-Bowling Green.
