Fall 2015 - In This Issue:
Thank You for 90 years of support!
November 25, 1925 was a humble beginning for the Commercial State Bank as tough banking conditions existed in rural Nebraska.  The bank ownership at that time obviously had a vision and determination that allowed them to prevail and set a course to grow and prosper.

With the support of our great customers, Commercial State Bank has had the good fortune to provide banking services for 90 years!  While the process of distribution of funds have changed, the core need for a sound banking system has not waivered.

We feel the Commercial State Bank is well positioned to provide sound, safe and functional banking services for another 90 years and beyond.  "Thank You" to our customers for choosing Commercial State Bank and being a part of our banking history!

Why was the skunk arrested for counterfeiting?
Because he gave out bad (s)cents!
What does the chip do?
Chip technology has proven successful in reducing fraud in card transactions. It is already the standard in many countries worldwide. This system uses a microprocessor chip in debit and credit cards to make transactions more secure and less vulnerable to fraud.

When will my Commercial State Bank card have a chip?
Commercial State Bank credit cards are now being reissued with chips once the card expires. We are working to begin the process to progressively issue debit chip cards starting in 2016.

Can I still use my debit & credit cards without a chip?
Yes. Your current card will continue to work as usual for online payments, phone payments, in-store payments, ATM transactions, etc. Commercial State Bank continues to work diligently with our payment processing partners to monitor transactions and alert you if there is anything out of the ordinary.
