COMMISSION ON PATHWAYS
OF HEALING AND RECONCILIATION
This Commission meets monthly to review the actions and progress of the team members and subgroups. Over the last 2 months, the Commission has been sharpening the plan to make contact with and receive information from people in MCC globally. Multiple communications were sent to invite people to participate in one-on-one interviews, to submit their testimonies, and to participate in a survey. The results of this information gathering are to ultimately create recommendations for policy changes, and in the shorter term to assist in identifying specific areas of training.

Here are the preliminary results of the various pathways:
73 people have filled out the survey.
4 people have submitted a written testimony
6 people have requested a listening session
4 took place and 2 others are being arranged
Over 80 individuals have interacted with the pathways.

The Commission will create an interim report based on the information we have received to date and be seeking further input from MCCers, especially those who are underrepresented in the feedback received so far.

The Commission members are using the framework of the book “Awake to Woke to Work” to guide our work (https://equityinthecenter.org/aww/). The review is done to ensure our actions are in alignment with our expected/desired outcomes.
  1. Establish a shared vocabulary
  2. Identify race equity champions at the board and senior leadership levels
  3. Name race equity as a strategic imperative for your organization
  4. Open a continuous dialogue about race equity work
  5. Disaggregate data

Please keep the Commission members in your prayers. We look forward to sharing our interim report with you in the coming weeks.
