Nonprofit Insurance Programs Offer
Financial Savings

Many 501(c)3's and government entities are paying too much for their Unemployment Compensation Insurance. There is now the opportunity to work with a local company to lower your costs. There are two programs to consider: Bonded Service Program provides a fixed cost alternative based exclusively on your organization's unemployment profile, thereby eliminating the shared risk expenses. Over 99% of the entities in this program never leave it. The Unemployment Savings Program is the first nonprofit unemployment savings program allowing its members to effectively manage their own unemployment claims, eliminating the pooling costs of other industries. To read more about these programs click here.

Commissioner Candidate Questions and Answers

The Huntingdon County Chamber of Commerce encourages everyone to vote in the May 21 Primary. To assist you with deciding who to vote for, we have asked the candidates for Huntingdon County Commissioner to respond to three questions on issues important to us. Candidates were asked to limit their responses to 200 words and no changes have been made to the answers submitted.

They are five Republican candidates, which are Nancy MacNamara, Gary O'Korn, Mark Sather, Scott Walls and Barry Wright. Democrat, Jeff Thomas is running unopposed.

Question #1. How would you direct funding to accelerate the County's pace of business growth?
