You know, between you and me I think Darwin failed to spot the missing link in evolution.
If he had studied teenagers he would've discovered that they are adaptable species that have been designed to annoy and bother us since their creation in the 1950s (Elvis unleashed them) and have done a sterling job ever since.
Operating in that no-mum's land hovering between childhood and adulthood they've yet to set their anchor in life and float blissfully in the land of irresponsibility.
Even asking them if they want a cup of tea and you'll get a “maybe”, “possibly” or the shrugged “OK?” as if committing to a choice of beverage means you've signed a bit of your soul to Beelzebub.
Drifting isn’t a strategy
The bad news is some of us don't grow out of it.
Clients who say they “just drifted” into what they are doing and who can't find their “thing” in life are waiting for their life purpose to come and grab them by the lapels, knuckle rub their heads and sign them up.
If you are waiting for your passion to come and claim you or for it to drift past like a sushi-conveyor dish for you to grab and clutch to your heart with an “at last!” gasp – here’s the bad news.
Sorry but it's not going to happen and here's the why.
