Clean City, Clean City, Clean City

As Mayor of the esteemed team serving the city of Marion, I want to emphasize our shared vision and commitment to a "Clean City" mantra. This encompasses various aspects, including but not limited to Blight Elimination, Streets Maintenance, Crime Prevention, Street Signage, Beautification Projects, Staffing Optimization, Operational Efficiency, and Effective Communication.

Under this administration, every endeavor is driven by the principles of cleanliness and order. It may surprise some, but our internal operations at City Hall require significant cleansing from an operational standpoint. I am fully dedicated to ensuring that our local government operates with maximum efficiency. Achieving this goal will entail significant changes, all geared towards providing our citizens with optimal value for their investment.

Above, you'll find an image showcasing 1410 S Hill Street, which the City of Marion has owned since March 29, 2016. Regrettably, it had remained dilapidated since coming under our ownership. However, I am proud to announce that within the first three months of this administration, we have taken decisive action by demolishing this property. I encourage you to take a moment to drove by and witness the tangible results of our efforts firsthand. This is just the first of many to be demolished. It is our firm belief that the citizens of Marion, especially our children, deserve nothing less than the best.

Our commitment to transformation extends beyond individual projects. We are implementing organization-wide changes dedicated to revitalizing our city. Blight, Crime, Disorganization, Inefficiency, and Complacency have no place in Marion. Together, we embody the spirit of Marion – a Clean City.

Thank you for your unwavering dedication to our shared goals. Let us continue working tirelessly to make Marion a model of cleanliness, efficiency, and prosperity.

Warm regards,

Mayor Morrell
