De
ar Friends of The Blue Purl,
Last week’s word was “trust,’’ the cornerstone of any relationship.
This week, we want to discuss another word, an equally important ingredient in relationships: commitment.
Now, don’t worry, this isn’t becoming a lonely-hearts newsletter! We just thought it was worth stating the obvious, because often it is the simple ideas, which get passed over, the kind words we should say to each other that get dropped, forgotten, in the bustle of the day.
So we are hear to tell you we are committed to all of this. Why?
Yes, true, this is our business, but it is also our community. You matter and so we try to do more than sell you yarn, but to offer you inspiration, ideas, to introduce you to the groovy side of our world.
How do we do that?
Well, it is not always so obvious, so this week, we all sat down at the table (where we miss you) and brainstormed on how we can do better, what kinds of zoom classes we can offer in the fall, and what projects we might focus on to bring everyone a bit more joy in this stressful time. We are working on it, and will fill you in when we have settled on a curriculum.
Commitment.
What does it mean to you?
When it comes to knitting, does it mean striving for perfection? Perhaps it is to some of you. Does it mean practice, practice and more practice? Probably, yes, to many of you.
But commitment also means we are in this for the long haul and if you will excuse our use of a cliché, it is our recognition that this is a marathon, not a sprint.
Step by step, we will succeed together. We got this!
We are committed to keeping The Blue Purl humming.
We are committed to offering you quality products and services.
We are committed to listening.
We are committed to you, our community.
Thank you for sticking with us. We appreciate your support and never take it for granted.
