Volunteer Updates & Opportunities

The Lay Leader Training is back for year 2!

It is time for Common Flame's 2nd Annual Lay Leader Training! This isn't just another meeting. It's a chance for leaders from across the congregation to gather, build connections, share ideas, and explore what it means to lead in a covenantal community. Through conversations and workshops, we'll look at group identity, leadership, community engagement, and how we can help our ministries flourish.

All committee chairs, team leaders, and group facilitators are highly encouraged to attend. If you're unable to make it, please send a representative from your group so every team has a seat at the table. This year though we are opening it up so all are welcome. However, there will not be childcare.

We will provide breakfast, lunch, good company, and enough candy to keep the conversations going.

Community Opportunities to Help:

Our Family Promise guests will arrive on Sunday, July 5, and we need your help welcoming & supporting them. Stop by the Family Promise table in the Commons on Sundays to learn more. Sign up at the table, or using the button below (remember to look through the tabs).

Summer Welcoming

It's getting hotter and hotter each day. We get to be the place that people can cool down after the week. With all that's happening, let's be a place for shelter, cool and calm. Help us make that space possible by being that Greeter, Usher, Coffee Host, or maybe even stepping up to be a Commons Coordinator! Don't worry there's always help nearby. Let's have a great Sunday!!

Golden Circle Grill Masters & Help Needed!

The Golden Circle BBQ is almost here, and unless the hamburgers learn to set up tables, I could use some volunteers! Join the team and help make this annual gathering a fun and welcoming afternoon for our Golden Circle friends.

The Harvest Table

Harvest Table is powered by a small group of dedicated folks, many in their 70s, who do a lot to keep it going. Equity reminds us that the work shouldn’t fall on the same shoulders every week. If you’re able, signing up is a simple way to share the load and support the people who support all of us.
