Volunteer Updates & Opportunities

A big huge shout out to everyone who helped out with our community picnic this past Sunday. From setting up tents to chopping watermelons, from greeting folks at our info table to bounce house monitoring, y'all showed up for our community this weekend. We saw you, we see you, and we are immensely grateful for you!

This Sunday, I witnessed someone offering to wait in a food truck line and order for a parent of a young child. I saw kids & adults alike welcoming and inviting park passerby to our picnic. I saw so many wide smiles and heard so many big laughs. What an incredible way to celebrate our new name together.

And, you know what? Big events like the picnic would absolutely not be possible without you, volunteers! So thank you, thank you, thank you, for Sunday, and for every day that you show up for Common Flame.

Sign Up to Greeter, Usher & Host!

Every Sunday

Greeters: This is a great way to show your Common Flame pride! Greet folks & answer questions as they come in.

Ushers: Open/close sanctuary doors, pass offertory baskets, count money & people. Read about Jess Hendrickson's experience as an usher here!

Remember, you can sign up weeks in advance if you would like. You'll get a reminder email a couple of days before your volunteer days!

Volunteer at the Abundant Harvest Table!

Every Sunday

Harvest Table is powered by a small group of dedicated folks, many in their 70s, who do a lot to keep it going. If you’re able, signing up is a simple way to share the load and support the people who support all of us.

We also ask that you're available to help during the Holiday Market itself, on December 4 & 5. If you're interested or want more information, please let Emily know!
