Volunteer with the Aesthetics Committee!

We need your help with a super secret Aesthetics Committee project on Monday, August 24. This is a perfect volunteer opportunity for you if you're passionate about making our physical spaces beautiful, clean, and welcoming! Greet, Usher, or Host Our Sunday Services!

Every Sunday

Greeters: This is a great way to show your Common Flame pride! Greet folks & answer questions as they come in.

Ushers: Open/close sanctuary doors, pass offertory baskets, count money & people. Read about Jess Hendrickson's experience as an usher here!

Remember, you can sign up weeks in advance if you would like. You'll get a reminder email a couple of days before your volunteer days!

Help out at our Annual Community Picnic

Sunday, August 23 | 11 am - 3 pm

This year we are celebrating our new name and the picnic is going to be EPIC! Let's all work together to make the day great. There's plenty of opportunities for all who would like to help: from setting up & cleaning up, to helping with food and our watermelon eating contest.

Volunteer at the Abundant Harvest Table!

Every Sunday

Harvest Table is powered by a small group of dedicated folks, many in their 70s, who do a lot to keep it going. If you’re able, signing up is a simple way to share the load and support the people who support all of us. The Abundant Harvest Table will not be offered on Sunday August 23.  Instead, you are encouraged to attend the annual church picnic in Maple Grove Park!

2026 Holiday Market Helpers

December 4-5 & earlier this Fall (exact dates & times TBD)

The countdown to the Holiday Market has officially begun! We're looking for a few merry and creative folx to join our planning team. If you enjoy event planning, thinking outside the box, working with others, and making joyful things happen, we'd love to have you on board. We also ask that you're available to help during the Holiday Market itself, on December 4 & 5. If you're interested or want more information, please let Emily know!

Donate Personal Care Items to Community Table!

Sundays until August 23 (after services)

The Women's Group will be collecting personal hygiene items for Community Table, an Arvada nonprofit serving families in need. Needs: tampons, pads, bar soap, body wash, razors, laundry soap, deodorant, lotion, sunscreen, and bandaids. Sample or hotel sizes are useful. Gather your items now to donate this August!
