Accessibility Conversation

Sunday, July 12 | After the service | Open to all ages and abilities! We'll discuss how we can make our spaces more accessible for those of us with physical & mental disabilities. We also ask that our neurodivergent siblings add their voices to how we can better create beloved community for all. Rev. Jen will be facilitating the conversation.

Community Table Personal Care Item Collection

Sundays, August 2 - August 23 | The Women's Group will be collecting personal hygiene items for Community Table, an Arvada nonprofit serving families in need. Needs: tampons, pads, bar soap, body wash, razors, laundry soap, deodorant, lotion, sunscreen, and bandaids. Sample or hotel sizes are useful. Gather your items now to donate this August!

Poetry Group

Friday, June 19 | 1 - 2:30 pm | JUC poets gather twice a month to share poems they have written. Feedback is gently given. No need to contact leader, just show up and see if this is right for you. We write and share poems we write following a prompt given at the previous meeting. Most poems are free verse.

This month's meeting topic is 250 Years of Women's Contributions to America. We will share stories of women who have impacted us and all they have done. Vickie Devitt will facilitate this meeting.

Mom's Group

Monday, July 20 | 6:30 - 8:30 pm | Join other JUC moms for an opportunity to deepen and connect. There will be a mix of faith-exploration activities and socialization time.

Water Balloon Games

Sunday, July 26 | 11:15 am | Third through sixth graders! Come join in the fun and cool down with your friends with some water balloon games on the church grounds. Be prepared to get wet! Popsicles provided!

Mario Kart Tournament

Friday, July 31 | 6:30 - 8:30 pm | We'll set up our first rounds in the chapel over several TVs & devices. Final round played in the sanctuary with an audience! Come to support your friends or play for the championship title! Please bring your own controller & switch if you have them!

Summer MUUsic & Arts Camp

August 10 - 14 | 9 am - 3 pm | Our kids & youth will spend a week learning & rehearsing our program before Children's Music Service on August 16. Singing, acting & dancing optional. We'll have plenty of opportunities for everyone!

Election Security: Making Sure Your Vote Is Counted

Project LETS: Anti-Carceral Mental Health Response

Applications due Tuesday, June 30 | The goal of this program is to develop a decentralized, well-resourced network of anti-carceral organizing & care hubs across the country. After completion of the program, hubs will work together to create abolitionist alternatives, like make-shift respite & crisis care collectives in their communities.
