* Reminder: Tuesday, March 15 is a school day! March 15 used to be Election Day in Illinois and a non-student attendance day in District 58. After the State moved Election Day to June 2022, District 58 updated its calendar to make March 15 a school day. The updated calendar was approved and shared with all families in August 2021. We realize some families might still have the old calendar, so we wanted to remind you here as well!

District to administer state assessments •
|
|
This April, students in grades 3-8 will complete the state-mandated Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR). Additionally, some time in the next several weeks, students in grades 5 and 8 will take the mandated Illinois Science Assessment.
Building principals will share detailed school testing schedules in their weekly newsletters. District 58 approaches state assessments by supporting students and encouraging them to do their best, and we appreciate the partnership from our families in that encouragement. State assessment results will be available next fall.
Please click here to read a message from Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Justin Sisul about District 58's approach to these assessments.
