The Illinois State Board of Education will publish its 2018 school report cards on Wednesday, Oct. 31. This report card annually shares metrics about each school, including PARCC scores, school funding and demographics. New this year, the report card will include a four-tiered summative designation, or rating, for each school. A school's designation will be based on several factors, including academic growth, academic achievement and chronic absenteeism. The State made this change to follow new federal legislation, called the Every Student Succeeds Act, or ESSA.

Last month, District 58 invited the community to join a Vision 58 Strategic Plan working group, in a united effort to achieve the District's three strategic goals. This month, most working groups have already met and made great progress! Each group began by reviewing team norms, discussing their objectives, sharing ideas and brainstorming solutions.
"I am very proud of and grateful for our community's commitment to our Strategic Plan's success," said Superintendent Dr. Kari Cremascoli. "Each contributor is integral to the District's continued pursuit of excellence in education!"
District 58 will provide Strategic Plan progress updates to the Board four times per year. The first update will occur at the regular December Board meeting. Learn more about the District's Strategic Plan at
