SAFETY CORNER:
District improves allergy procedures, increases nursing staff
•
|
|
District 58 has updated its
Allergy Action Plan procedures to better support student needs. Historically, Allergy Action Plans were reviewed
annually with lunch/recess supervisors and office staff, as well as whenever changes were made. Now, schools will review Allergy Action Plans with each supervisor on
at least a
trimester basis.
In addition, District 58 is proud to have
doubled its nursing staff over the past two years. These additional skilled health care providers help District schools and staff to care for the critical needs of students and help ensure a safe and nurturing environment for everyone.
"Thank you to our building principals, nurses and Assistant Superintendent for Special Services Jessica Stewart for supporting this important work,” said Superintendent Dr. Kari Cremascoli.
