FEATURED VIDEOS
Herrick students demonstrate learning through Shark Tank project

Herrick eighth graders in Mrs. Winthrop’s ELA class practiced their problem-solving, research, writing and persuasive speaking skills during a Shark Tank project.

Similar to the Shark Tank TV show, students invented a product and explained why the Sharks should invest in it. The students delivered a catchy hook, clearly described their product and asserted their funding needs.

Teachers and other VIPs, including Superintendent Dr. Kari Cremascoli, volunteered to serve as Sharks. They challenged the students with good questions about their products, before making a mock bargain with the student entrepreneurs. View this short video to watch their learning in action!
