Ingersoll Place Communication

January 8, 2021

With regard to weekly testing of staff for COVID-19, which was held Tuesday, Jan. 5, we have received approximately half of the results, to date; all are negative. Monitoring for symptoms and changes in health status among residents and staff is ongoing.

Residents have been informed of the upcoming COVID-19 vaccination clinics scheduled for Jan 15, Feb. 5 and Feb. 26. Physician authorization for each resident is underway.

Vaccines will be administered by CVS Pharmacists in the Library. Each resident will be individually escorted to the main lobby where there will be no more than three residents seated, masked and safely distanced at any given time.

While most residents are able to give consent to receiving their vaccinations, designated resident representatives will be called on Monday by members of Ingersoll’s staff to obtain consent for those who cannot.

We have received several phone calls this week from family members asking if there are any anticipated changes in visitation once residents and/or individual family members have been vaccinated. At the present time, there have been no changes in the visitation policy and no updates from state or local health departments have been disseminated. We know everyone is looking forward to in-person visits and will keep you informed of any changes as we learn of them.

Wishing everyone a safe and pleasant weekend.
