With regard to weekly testing of staff for COVID-19, there were no positive or presumptive positive results associated with testing on Nov. 17. However, two employees are currently isolating at home with symptoms that may be consistent with possible coronavirus infection. Regular weekly testing of Ingersoll’s staff was conducted yesterday, Nov. 24 and those results are expected within the next few days.
Public health officials were contacted earlier today by Ingersoll’s Executive Director Caroline Thompson and precautionary measures are in place. Residents and staff continue to be monitored for changes in health status and group activities are temporarily canceled. Staggered meal times remain in effect in the main dining room and Thanksgiving Day luncheon will take place, as planned.
We will keep you informed as to this week’s test results and any changes, if necessary, in daily routines.
