Subject:          Update on COVID-19 Testing

The remaining group of results from last week’s Dec. 15 testing were received yesterday. A total of 70 tests were done; 57 staff and 13 residents. During the testing period, two residents tested positive and are isolating in their apartments. Two staff members have also tested positive and are isolating at home. The designated family member or other representative of each resident that was tested has been notified of the result, positive or negative, by Amber Zoller, Assistant Case Manager.

Weekly testing is scheduled for tomorrow, Dec. 22. Typically, Ingersoll starts receiving results from the laboratory two to three days after the testing date. It can take up to a week, and occasionally, longer for all results to be received. We will continue to report results as we receive them through Christmas Eve and the holiday weekend.

All group activities and communal dining remain on pause. Details about holiday dinners and special Christmas activities will follow in the next Communication.
