Ingersoll Place Communication

Attention:      Family Members and other Resident Representatives

Subject:          Update on COVID-19 Testing

With regard to weekly testing of staff for COVID-19, which was held Tuesday, Dec. 22, we have received 22 results to date; all are negative. No residents were scheduled for testing this past week. Monitoring for symptoms and changes in health status is ongoing.
Although group activities and communal dining remain on pause, the Activities and Food Service departments have cooked up holiday fun and festivities for our residents. Beginning at 3 p.m., Christmas Eve, a wheeled cart featuring hors d'oeuvres (chocolate covered fruit) and beverages began making its way to each apartment with help from Activities staff. Christmas Day highlights will include flowers for the residents, staff visits and a mobile cocoa and cookies cart. A baked ham luncheon will be prepared for in-room dining along with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables and blueberry cheesecake for dessert. Rumor has it that Santa will be making another visit to Ingersoll Place and staff will be caroling through the hallways.

To the families, friends and supporters of Ingersoll Place, we thank you for the holiday greetings you’ve sent, the special treats for staff and residents you’ve delivered and your generous contributions to Ingersoll’s Home for the Holidays fund drive. We are looking forward to a new year filled with hope, happiness and joyful celebrations including Ingersoll’s 97th anniversary in May.

Wishing one and all a safe and happy holiday weekend. From our home to yours, we wish you a Merry Christmas!
