Subject:          Update on COVID-19 Testing

With regard to weekly testing of staff for COVID-19, which was held Tuesday, Dec. 22, all but one of the remaining lab results were received over the weekend; one was received today. Two employees have tested positive and are isolating at home. Facility-wide quarantine at Ingersoll Place has been extended through January 10.
We are awaiting information from NYS Dept. of Health officials as to when assisted living facilities will begin receiving the vaccine. In an email received Dec. 24, from ESAAL (Empire State Association of Assisted Living), it was noted, “… DOH will be scheduling an ACF (Adult Care Facility) association meeting next week in preparation for the roll out.”
We will continue to keep you informed as to weekly testing of staff and any updates we receive from state and/or county health departments regarding vaccines. This week’s staff testing is scheduled for Tues., Dec. 29.
Although everyone is looking forward to welcoming a better, brighter new year, we want to share one last look at Christmas 2020 and say thanks to Santa (Christina Benardo, Activities Director) along with all the wonderful staff in Resident Care, Food Service, Activities Housekeeping, Maintenance, Reception Desk and Administration for doing their best to make this year’s Christmas merry and bright.

If you have questions or concerns regarding daily operations at Ingersoll Place, please contact Caroline Thompson, Executive Director or Ceil Mack, Marketing Director, at 518-370-4419.
