Ingersoll Place Communication
March 26, 2021

With regard to weekly testing of staff for COVID-19, which was held Tuesday, March 23, all staff have tested negative, thus far. There are seven tests that are pending results. We’ll keep you updated if there are any changes.
The grinder pump project to improve sewerage flow from Ingersoll Place into the municipal sewer line is temporarily on hold. Contractors for the project are gathering additional information about the excavation site and a new start date will be announced once they’re ready to proceed. All residents are being told this morning that it’s ok to use their sinks and toilets and that we’ll give them plenty of notice when the project is scheduled to begin.

Two new activities introduced earlier this month are a huge hit with residents. Fitness drumming and hand bell ringing may soon rival Bingo in popularity. Residents are also taking full advantage of the mild spring days to sit outside or take walks around the building. Residents that need a walking buddy are paired up with staff members from virtually every department to ensure there’s outdoor time for everyone.

We’ve had multiple deer sightings reported by residents; also, a couple of mallard ducks on the little pond and the regular presence of our hawk-in-residence who swoops over the property several times a day.

Wishing everyone a safe and pleasant weekend and a blessed Palm Sunday to everyone who will be celebrating the start of Holy Week.
