Ingersoll Place Communication
March 31, 2021

We have received notification that an employee who tested negative during last week’s testing has subsequently tested positive. We were also advised today by a representative of the NYS Dept. of Health, that quarantine must again go into effect.
Activities and communal dining have been suspended. One-on-one room visits by Activities Department staff will be ramped up and will include a variety of games, trivia and puzzles. Arrangements have also been made for residents that wish to pray the Rosary and receive Communion.
Also, per NYS DOH regulations, in-person, on-site visits with residents at Ingersoll Place have been canceled until further notice. However, residents will continue to be allowed to accompany family members off-site for visits in their homes, restaurants and other venues of their choosing.
Please note, while we appreciate the guidance and support of health department representatives, we have requested clarification on current regulations regarding quarantine and visitation that appear to be inconsistent.
We will keep you informed as to any updates we receive.
