September 18, 2020

With regard to weekly testing of staff for COVID-19, there are no positive or presumptive cases to report at the present time. If that should change, residents and families will be notified promptly.

Patio visits resumed this past Tuesday. Window visits and virtual visits via Zoom and FaceTime are ongoing. For scheduling assistance, please call the Reception Desk at 518-370-4419.

An important announcement was made this week by Christopher Healy, President of the Ingersoll Place Board of Trustees:

“It is with pleasure that I announce the appointment of Caroline Thompson as the new Executive Director/Administrator of Ingersoll Place Assisted Living. For the past six years, Caroline has served as Ingersoll’s Finance Manager and valued member of the management team. A certified public accountant, Caroline received her bachelor of science degree from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania and has worked with several national corporations as a senior auditor and financial analyst. During her tenure at Ingersoll Place, she has developed an extensive understanding of day-to-day operations and will be working with the board of trustees and department managers to ensure a smooth transition as she assumes her new position. Please join with me and my fellow trustees – along with the entire Ingersoll Place family – in congratulating Caroline. Public announcements will follow in the next few weeks.”

The 2020 National Assisted Living Week celebration will be remembered – not only for the dedication and caring spirit of Ingersoll’s staff in the midst of a worldwide pandemic but for their creativity and determination to bring laughter and joy into the lives of residents each and every day. One of the week’s highlights was a dance competition – homemade, homegrown and mostly impromptu - captured on video by Michelle “Shelly” Rearic, Business Office/HR Manager. Click on the links below for each of the three taped segments.

Wishing everyone a safe and pleasant weekend and a hope-filled start to the fall season.
