Resources: Diocesan Profile Survey
Bulletin Resources, Posters, and Graphics
Good afternoon,

The Standing Committee has empowered the Executive Board to create a diocesan survey and profile that will help us articulate what we hope for in our next bishop and how we currently see ourselves as the Diocese of West Texas. If you have been involved in the clergy search process, you understand how important it is to create both a descriptive and an aspirational profile.

We need your help to invite and encourage your congregation to participate in the crafting of our diocesan profile by completing an online survey before July 18.

Please find bulletin announcements, posters, graphics and other resources below you to share this simple survey, knowing that every answer is a piece of our important work moving forward.

Take a Simple Online Survey Released to Help Create our Diocesan Profile
The Standing Committee has empowered the Executive Board to create a diocesan survey and profile that will help us articulate what we hope for in our next bishop and how we currently see ourselves as the Diocese of West Texas. If you have ever been through a clergy search process in your parish, you understand how important it is to create both a descriptive and an aspirational profile.

We invite you to both prayerfully and hopefully complete an online survey before July 18 knowing that every answer will help the Standing Committee and Executive Board create our diocesan profile.

A Prayer for the
Episcopal Diocese of West Texas
The Standing Committed released A Prayer for the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas for congregations to pray as they and the Executive Board continue the preparation for the election of a new Bishop Coadjutor. Please find a PDF with the prayer to include in your pews or church bulletins.

Please keep the Standing Committee, Bishop Reed, the Executive Board and the entire diocese in your prayers as they continue to prepare for the election of a Bishop Coadjutor on February 18, 2023 at our annual Council in Corpus Christi. The Rev. Dr. Ben Nelson, President of the Standing Committee, has provided a beautiful prayer to guide us through this process and for those who are discerning the call to be our new Bishop Coadjutor.

A Prayer for the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas
Almighty God, giver of all good gifts, you have called us to a life-giving fellowship in the Diocese of West Texas: Encourage and build up in us the love of Christ Jesus that we might continue to strengthen the legacy of those who have tended and led this diocese with godly courage; look graciously upon us and on your whole Church; by your Spirit, guide the Standing Committee, the delegates, and the clergy who shall discern the one you call to be a bishop for our diocese; send us a faithful shepherd who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries. All this we pray in the name of Jesus Christ, who with you and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns now and forever. Amen.
